From girls in rural Zimbabwe forced to walk increasing distances for clean water, to farmers in Australia tackling prolonged droughts, to Pacific Islanders facing rising seas and forced migration…
Climate change is affecting us all.
Fossil fuels are the largest driver of climate change. It is critically important that we transition from fossil fuels to clean energy as quickly and fairly as possible.
Whoever wins the election, we need action.
Join our call to ensure our national sovereign wealth fund – The Future Fund – prioritises renewable energy.
The Future Fund is our national sovereign wealth fund, representing $167 billion AUD of our public money.
It’s currently investing in fossil fuels, which means it’s actively fueling the destruction of the environment on which our future depends.
It’s time to clean up our Future Fund and make it work for our future!
Over recent years, our partners in the Pacific have reported on increasing destruction of island resources – including gardens, water sources, cemeteries and hospitals.
We have seen the impact of drought in Australia and in the East Africa Food Crisis.
We have seen floods and cyclones of unprecedented size impact communities across Asia and the Pacific.
It is time we look with honesty and seek to change the things we can.
Please be part of Generation Earth, the generation that makes a difference.
