On Sunday we celebrate the Epiphany, reflecting on the fulfilment of Advent’s promise and the gift of Christ among us. With Isaiah, we sing that our hearts “throb and swell with joy.” (Isaiah 60:5)
In the spirit of hope fulfilled, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on GCCM’s journey and share a look at our plans for the year ahead.
GCCM team and Vatican staff in Rome
Four years ago, an international coalition co-founded GCCM. Every year since then has seen a flowering of protection for creation, made possible by the Holy Spirit who guides us.
However, the need for healing in a climate-threatened world continues to grow. In solidarity with our most vulnerable neighbors, we plan to increase the ambition and urgency of our work in 2019.
I invite you to read about our 2019 plans and see a calendar of activities here.
As always, please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or suggestions, and my thanks for your presence in this movement, your prayers, and all you do. Blessings for you in 2019.

Make us worthy of this earth:
in what we sow and what we reap,
in what we plant and what we prune.
So that when that last harvest comes,
When we are called to stand before you,
It may once more be said of this people:
“He saw that it was good.”
