International Mother Earth Day_22nd Apr 2018

Dear Friend,

It’s here!  Earth Day is April 22. Does your community have plans?

This Earth Day, let’s lift our voices together.

  • Celebrate creation during mass.
  • After mass, write postcards to encourage the diocese to protect creation.

Learn more about Earth Day at your parish here.

Do the diocese’s choices matter?  Yes! As a leader in the community, its decisions make a big difference. Dioceses can protect creation and all of us who share it by reducing their greenhouse gas emissions.

There are 1.2 billion of us Catholics. We can make a big impact if we act together. Protect creation. Register an event at your parish here.

From talking points and postcards to lesson plans and mass suggestions, we’ll provide everything you need for a successful program. Your willing heart and hands will make the difference. Learn more here.

Pope Francis says, “Bring the whole human family together . . . for we know that things can change.” (Laudato Si’, 13)

As Catholics, we’re called to preserve the good gift of creation and to protect the vulnerable people who share it.  We have the power to answer the call.

Looking forward to Earth Day!

Yours in faith,
Marisa for GCCM
