World Day of Prayer for Creation and the Season of Creation | 1st September to 4th October 2016

In 2015 Pope Francis joined the leaders of other Christian churches in declaring September 1st to be a World Day of Prayer for Creation, and as you can see in the above video, he is asking people all around the world to pray for creation on this day.

The World Day of Prayer for Creation is also the first day of the “Season of Creation,” a time for all Christians to celebrate, pray, and take action for our common home. The Season of Creation runs from 1st September until 4th October 2016, the Feast Day of St Francis of Assisi.
