Laudato Si Week and the 1-year anniversary of Laudato Si’, 18th June 2016

Saturday, 18th June 2016, marks one year since Pope Francis released his encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si’. This week, from 12th – 19th June is Laudato Si’ Week, a global celebration of the Laudato Si’ message and a prompt for us all to take action on that message.

There are a number of events being held for Laudato Si’ week, including an online conference with prominent speakers from different backgrounds talking about Pope Francis’ message in Laudato Si’ and the global climate crisis that we are currently facing.

The Global Catholic Climate Movement have created a website specifically for Laudato Si’ Week and the many related events currently happening. Head to laudatosiweek.org to watch the online conference, and to find out more about local events in your area and how you can take action on the environment.
