The People’s Climate March in Perth will take place at 1pm Sunday 29th November at Wellington Square, East Perth.
There will be a variety of music and speakers ahead of marching in solidarity with all those present before moving down Hay St to the mall where the march will end. People of faith are being asked to celebrate our diversity in together caring for our world as our common home, by wearing traditional or religious dress, or the colour purple. The aim is to create a festive and family friendly atmosphere to show the world that many ordinary people from a huge diversity of communities do care about the future of our planet.
If you would like to identify with other causes:
THE SOLUTIONS Renewable energy, sustainable food, active transport: if you are inspired by climate change solutions, wear yellow and join us.
FRONT LINES OF CHANGE Many people unfairly feel the impacts of climate change already and lead our call for action. Extreme weather, living costs, health and security; if you feel the impacts of climate change now, wear red and join us.
OUR COMMON HOME If you want to speak for the species and ecosystems who don’t get a voice, wear green and join us.
A JUST TRANSITION If you want a transition to a society that provides safety, security and good jobs in an economy that helps rather than hurts the environment, wear orange and join us.
HEALTH AND SCIENCE Believe in a healthier world for all of us, wear white and join us.
Bring your organisation, your family, your friends, your neighbours, invite your work colleagues and join us in Perth on Sunday 29 November at 1pm.
