My name is Bindi Frail, I’m a Ngemba woman from Brewarrina, NSW. I recently spent a week travelling through North West NSW on the Journey to Recognition. I met with some amazing people ready to fix our Constitution, like Aunty Virginia Robinson from Walgett who sees the importance of this as simply – justice. “Justice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to be recognised in the most important legal document in the nation.”
This is our chance. I feel this is our turn now, this is our responsibility. Being an Aboriginal woman, part of the oldest living cultures that go back more than 40,000 years, I feel this is an important issue that needs to be addressed. I think it’s time for us to move forward.
But we can’t do this without your help…
