As part of the Year of Consecrated Life, Pope Francis made modern-day slavery the
theme of his recent Message for the World Day of Peace 2015. He has designated
the Feast of St Josephine Bakhita, Sunday, 8 February, as the World Day of Prayer, Reflection and Action
Against Human Trafficking.
Parishes are encouraged to better alert and inform their communities to this modern-day criminality wherever
possible. Many resources (prayers, liturgies, stories) are available at http://acrath.org.au
